Just a Bent Twig: Anne Smith

April 26, 2020, Kate Belew With Anne Smith (Croydon, Lonson, England)

Here, hands water and

Frothy soap stand between

Whatever it means to clean a thing

And all that dirt and germs will bring.

I make a garden outside of the window, I consider

Bird don't need to wash or flowers to clean up

just a bent twig and there's home.

The virus has been good for nature

Just imagine the wolf walking down the road –

It doesn’t pollute the air as cars do

one lone howl to the wind and gone.
