Home is Home is Home: Diana Ospina

April 1, 2020 Kate Belew with Diana Ospina (New York)

And what would we find at the bottom of all of this?

Buried treasure in the trenches of my guts?

I wanted to explain something

It can be blue or gold

Or even whisper or sequin.

A force, tangible like electromagnetic energy

I wanted to say something about lonely

How my mind runs like an echo

Slapping feet against cement

On the Run to nowhere but here

Because home is home is home.

And at the bottom of all of this, we found buried promise.

A willingness to leave behind

What I knew then and what I know now.
