I was always awful at board games, 

Always with a knife in my teeth

and so bad at directions, only impulse,

with eyes closed to everything except losing or leaving

I was always awful with, there's the door, the window

never knowing where to go, from here to hear

I want to believe in something today 

anything with a pulse or a push

or roots or wings or whatever we call branches,

intertwining with our vain veins

I want to love you again, I think.
